Preschool

The Preschool Ministry lays the foundation for the beginning of a child’s spiritual journey. We use the familiar song “Jesus Loves Me” as a model for our ministry. As infants and toddlers, preschoolers are intentionally introduced to the names of God and Jesus. They learn to trust in His existence by trusting the adults that take care of them each week at church. In twos, threes, and fours, we add the verb love to the preschooler’s world. Through action-packed Bible stories, children see how Jesus loved people. At ages five and six, Jesus loves me becomes personal as the preschooler understands that Jesus loves them enough that He died for their sins. 
 
Weekly Ministries for Preschoolers: 
 
Sundays:
  8:15am, Sunday Bible Study 
  9:30 & 11am,  Sunday Bible Study
 
Wednesdays:
  6:00-7:20pm, Child Care (Birth-2's)
  6:15-7:15pm, GROW (3's-K) 
 
On Sunday mornings, babies and toddlers are lovingly cared for by experienced and capable workers. Two's, Threes, Fours and Kindergarteners will have an opportunity to develop relationships with peers and teachers in our small group setting. At large group they will hear the Bible story from an energetic, animated storyteller and enjoy music that is high energy and interactive.
We want all preschoolers to:

• Experience that church is a safe and happy place
• Develop trust in their caregivers.
• Understand the Bible is a special book about God and Jesus.
• Learn Biblical absolute truths on their level.
• Lay foundations for Christian conversion.

On Wednesday nights, 6:15 – 7:15 preschoolers age 3-5 are involved in a program written especially for Carmel preschoolers called GROW. There are 4 components of GROW. The children learn about one each week.

• G – Glorify - A large group, high energy worship time.
• R – Recite – Lots of fun activities help the children memorize scripture.
• O – Others – Projects to benefit the elderly, shut-ins, widows, disaster victims etc.
• W – World – The children learn about missionaries and mission work.

 WEE School
Carmel ministers to over 850 preschoolers each week through our Weekday Early Education program. WEE School offers care and education for preschoolers 6 weeks until entrance into kindergarten on weekdays from 9:00am – 1:00pm September through May. MOPS: Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS helps moms build encouraging relationships in a local group of moms. All moms who have children birth – completed kindergarten are welcome! We enjoy fellowship, food, a craft activity and a special speaker on topic relevant to preschool moms. Check out the MOPS page or call the Preschool office, 704-849-9723 opt. 1, for more information.
